This year’s spring fundraiser saw organizers resurrecting the tried and true dressy, fun and fabulous Hat Affair! It was held on Sunday, April 11 at the Olmstead and was attended by more than 230 individuals. Everyone had an opportunity to bid on silent auction items, to try on and purchase that perfect hat for Oaks and Derby, to buy a raffle ticket to win $1000 of wine, $300 worth of jewelry or dinner certificates to more than 12 restaurants! Everyone enjoyed the fashion
show organized by Ashley fromCache, which saw beautiful models wearing Oaks and Derby
appropriate attire. This show included our own Nena, Alex, David and Stephanie, who walked the runway as part of the fun. After dinner the live auction got everyone fired up and bidding on vacation locales and exclusive one-of-a-kind items. The bidding ended with generous donors contributing to a fund to help get the parking lot at the administrative and CFPD building repaved. Thank you sponsors, businesses who donated their products, attendees, volunteers and families who helped make this event so successful. It would not have happened without everyone’s efforts!
