Adult Day Training (ADT)
Centers for Personal Development Apple Patch has made a pioneering step in the development of an Adult Day Training service that offers two distinctive programs that, together, take a comprehensive approach to personal development. Offered from 8:00 am. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, our adult day training service is designed to ensure an individual's continued success living semi-independently in the community. |

Continuing Education & Wellness Center The Continuing Education and Wellness Center, located at Apple Patch's main Administrative Facility, offers continuing education and wellness classes that emphasize the importance of continuing education and maintaining good physical health. We believe the two go hand-in-hand to ensure the mental stamina and physical energy to accomplish their ambitious life goals. |

| Community integration is also emphasized at the Center. Each day, two trips leave the center for community involvement to places like the YMCA, Oldham County Library, shopping, and volunteering in the community for different organizations like Meals on Wheels. We recognize that a variety of support services are needed to assist individuals in maximizing their growth potential and the Continuing Education and Wellness Center plays a vital role in facilitating an individual's independence. We are also developing a continuing education curriculum with the assistance of a panel of special education experts that allows all those interested to receive organized instruction in continuing their educational interests beyond high school. |  |

Library and Therapy Center An exciting expansion of our ADT program and facilities is just 2 miles down the road at our Library and Therapy Center located at our APEX facility at Foxhollow farm. Through a most generous arrangement with the Norton Family Trust, owners of the former Foxhollow Spa, we have expanded our services onto this property. Providing access to over 8,000 square feet of program space and 3.5 acres of beautiful land featuring a swimming pool and full-size basketball court, this new facility is named "APEX at foxhollow farm". |
APEX is an acronym for the Apple Patch EXperience. This experience relates to our vision of providing maximum independence and choice - assisting individuals in reaching the pinnacle or Apex of their lives. APEX is home to a library and therapy center. We have a partnership with the Oldham County Library to help fill and maintain our library. |

Computers in the Technology room will allow interactive learning on a variety of topics. Other services offered include arts and crafts, music enhancement, culinary arts, recreational activities, and horticulture and O.T. services. Special thanks to the Norton Family Trust and Oldham County Library for their efforts to bring this to fruition. |
